"The Mona is my favorite toy, and I have a hefty collection! LELO is always an outstanding company in my opinion but I really have to say that they outdid themselves with this one. The curving is perfect for stimulating the G spot and really makes any straight vibrators or dildos seem outdated. There is a good variety of vibrations so I feel like I can adjust it pretty easily to how much time I plan on taking."

Lelo Mona 2 review

"This was my first vibrator for Lelo. I'd been looking for something more rumbly and with slightly more power for a while (my go to vibrator prior to this one was the Vibratex Mystic Wand - for the most part it did its job, but occasionally the broad stimulation of the large flat head and the buzziness of the higher vibrations meant it took longer to come). I'd heard good things about the Mona 2 and of all Lelo's vibrators, it seemed like it might have enough power for my needs. The controls are fairly easy to work out how to use (+ button to switch it on, + and - to increase and decrease intensity, up and down buttons to scroll through vibration patterns, and - button held down to switch it off). I don't care much for patterns usually and have tried these ones, but they failed to change my mind. This isn't to say that the patterns are bad - I simply prefer constant vibration. The Mona 2 is marketed as a "G-spot" vibrator, and I have tried it inserted vaginally as well as on the clitoris. I bought the Mona 2 partially as an experiment to see if internal vibration was something I enjoyed, and it turns out that I'm pretty ambivalent towards it. It's served very well so far for the second of the two reasons I purchased it, though - as an alternative, more pinpoint and slightly less buzzy clit vibrator. I was able to use this during partnered sex (I am cis-female and my partner is cis-male, but I imagine this could work for non-het couples as well) in the missionary position as well. This is something I've never been able to do before, as most of my other vibrators have been too awkward to hold in this position. The handle of the Mona 2 curves back towards me in use and is very comfortable to hold, more so than other vibrators I have owned. The vibrations are also contained in the shaft of the vibrator and do not transmit to handle at all. It's nice to be able to use a vibrator for as long as I need to without my hand becoming numb. One of the things I like most about this toy is the large range of vibration intensity. I feel this would be a good choice for someone who doesn't know what they like yet. The lower settings don't do much of anything for me and I usually need the higher ones (probably intensity 5 and up) to come, but I can see how this might be good for someone who doesn't like strong vibration. I can come pretty easily with the Mona 2, so I can safely say that it caters to those who need more power as well. Another feature of the toy that I really appreciate is that it's completely waterproof (even if you leave the cap off the charging port). This gave me the opportunity to try using a sex toy in the bath for the first time, something I was surprised to find out I liked. The toy is straightforward and fast to charge, and the charger is discreet - it looks almost like an Apple charger, so it could be safely stored with other household electronics without anyone guessing what's up. (The vibrator itself obviously looks like a vibrator, so...don't try keeping it out in the open, for sure.) I have it in the red colour, and it's definitely a strong cherry red - it can appear pinkish in some online pictures, but this isn't the case in person. I dislike that this is the least traditionally "girly" colour I could buy it in and would love some more colour options like blue or green - it seems like the bulk of sex toys marketed to women come in pink, purple or black - but this is a minor complaint. As usual for Lelo, the handle of the Mona 2 is made of plastic and the shaft is coated in body-safe silicone. It's very easy to clean - I typically just use soap and water without worrying about sterilising the silicone, as my partner and I are fluid-bonded. To sum up, I think this toy would make a solid purchase for a person with a vulva thinking about buying their first vibrator. There's enough variation that you should be able to use it at a vibration pattern and intensity that you like, and it's a very enjoyable clit vibrator if you decide you dislike or just aren't excited by vibration against your G-spot. I understand that the price might make a first-time vibrator buyer nervous, but I definitely think it's worth it to save for one really well-made item with enough variability to accommodate a range of preferences than buy several hit-or-miss $25 or under vibrators that aren't guaranteed to last much longer than a year."
