ELVIE REVIEW - KEGEL VIBRATOR & PELVIC FLOOR EXERCISER
Kegels are a great exercise for your pelvic floor muscles that lead to sexual and health benefits. They're very trendy right now and only take minutes to do, wherever you are. Those who are into making it a real workout, such as myself, will buy “kegels balls” which act as a weight to work with and continue strengthening your pelvic floor. Any real trainee knows they need to record their progress, and there hasn't been a great way to keep track until now! The
Elvie Kegel Vibrator Exerciser and Trainer is an essential to anyone who takes their kegels seriously.

The packaging is a work of art itself, featuring sleek designs and a relaxed but colorful palette; I can see they put thought into every inch of the product. You don't receive just one product in the box to my surprise - it was almost like opening a Christmas present. Inside are the kegel vibrator, a USB for charging, an optional cover for the kegel (to increase size), a wireless charging case which is completely discreet, and a manual. The actual tracker is an iPhone app, which you will be assisted with downloading and syncing in the guide.

The kegel trainer is full of motion sensors to track exactly how and what you're doing, which the app will then display for you in real time through Bluetooth. I'm going to rave about colors and design for a second again because the app even matches the toy, and everything is laid in a super simple but pleasing manner. Your app will record your workouts, and even compare them as you record more. For those of you that like being rewarded for good work (who doesn't?), you'll get a little notification in the app letting you know when you beat one of your previous records. After syncing the toy you will have the option to choose a set of workouts in the app, each are five minutes long and completely guided. The best of all? If you're not quite doing the workout right, the app can tell you how to fix it!

As far as using the toy itself, it's super simple and straightforward. Simply place the toy inside and your app will guide you from there. The kegel trainer is super sleek and comfortable to wear, it's not very large or bulky. It has an arm that sort of looks like a clip to ensure you don't lose the trainer. One important thing to remember is that a kegel that vibrates is still not a vibrator, and will not likely cause you to orgasm. With that being said, the Elvie trainer has some of the strongest and best vibrations to be found in the kegel world!

I found that my pelvic floor has gotten much stronger since exercising with this toy, it's not complicated or heavy but it's guided me to doing the exercises the correct way, which makes all the difference. I also find myself doing kegels way more often as the visualization of how I'm doing is very motivational and lets me see progress in real time.

Recommended for: Kegels fanatics of all levels!

Others: Different kegel trainer, lube, regular basic kegels

If you aren't ready to dedicate to kegels but still want to try them out, I suggest the Nova training set! With three silicone kegels balls, each one is a different weight and size. It's great to slowly but surely level yourself up, and they aren't expensive.

While the material is smoothe, you should still use a lubricant. The Swiss Navy Silicone Based lubricant is incredibly slick, and non absorbent.

Or, if high tech kegels interest you but you aren't really looking to be a trainee yet, you have the option of the WeVibe Vibrating Kegel Set. You can adjust the weight to your needs, and control your vibrations through the app. It doesn't track like the Elvie or show you where to improve, but the vibrations are a bit deeper.
