How to Make Yourself Squirt During Sex or With Masturbation

Like experiencing a tsunami of love, squirting can be an extremely sensual and sexual experience… whether you’re doing it with a partner during sex or with masturbation. And while many question whether squirting is real or not, the short answer is: yes, it’s very real!

Can every vulva owner squirt? Well, there are those who can squirt a lot easier than others, for some it takes practice, time, and patience. Of course, we’d be quite pompous to say that every single vulva owner can squirt, but it’s definitely something fun to experiment with and experience.

Want to try squirting on your own or with a partner?

So today, we’re going to go into the ins and outs of squirting! We’ll look at things such as:

What is squirting?

Squirting is the expulsion of fluid via the vagina either during sex or with masturbation.

This fluid comes from the urethra (the tube that carries pee in vulva owners) when one is sexual stimulated. And actually, squirting is not a new thing! In fact, it’s been recognised by various cultures, from China to Greece, for more than 2000 years.

So what is squirting? And when a fluid is expelled, is it squirting or ejaculating? Yes, indeed, there is a difference. Squirting is when a large amount of clear fluid is released, and ejaculate is when a thicker, whitish fluid is released.

Studies on this have found that the two liquids are very distinct because of their colour, odour, chemical makeup, and volume. In other words, there is a difference between squirting and ejaculating. This doesn’t mean that they can’t happen at the same time, which would be a combination of clear fluid and white, milky fluid.

But then, let’s answer the question: is squirting pee? Squirting does share some similarities with diluted urine, yes, because it contains the presence of urea, creatinine, and uric acid (waste products expelled from the kidneys during urination), but it is not 100 percent pee. When one squirts however, the fluid will mix with whatever urine is in the bladder at that time. In short, there can be small traces of pee that is expelled during squirting, but it is not pee.

How does squirting work?

So, how does squirting work exactly? What actually happens when someone squirts? Squirting usually happens when a vulva owner has their G-Spot stimulated, but it could also come about by clitoral or dual stimulation

Interestingly, these different parts are all, in some way, connected, so stimulating one often results in some kind of stimulation of the others.

The G-Spot is a small area about five to eight centimetres inside of the vagina, on the front wall towards the belly button. And as we mentioned, the fluid that’s released comes from the urethra, but more specifically from the Skene’s glands (at the lower end of the urethra).

The Skene’s glands are two glands found on either side of the urethra, and is an area surrounded by tissues and glands called the urethral sponge. Skene’s glands are only present in cisgendered women assigned at birth, but it is loosely similar to that of the prostate in cisgendered men.

This is because the fluid produced by the Skene’s glands is similar to that of prostatic fluid. It contains specific proteins as well as the enzyme, PSA (prostatic-specific antigen) which is present in male semen. Basically, some professionals refer to the Skene’s glands as the female prostate.

Then, when a vulva owner is aroused and their Skene’s glands are stimulated, it could result in squirting.

What does squirting feel like? Well, everyone experiences it differently. For some, it feels nothing like an orgasm, for others it could have orgasmic properties. Some people love it because of the intensity, while others may have some anxiety about it because they’re worried it may be pee and/or about the clean up process.

Why do females squirt?

Briefly, what is mostly the case, females squirt because the urethral sponge, which is the location of the G-Spot, is stimulated. This then prompts the secretion of lubricating fluid into the urethra which flows back into, and accumulates in, the bladder. During arousal, this fluid is then expelled via the vagina.

In short, females squirt because they’re aroused and their Skene’s glands have been stimulated.

How to squirt during sex

If you’re interested to squirt during sex, it’s important that both partners are in-the-know about the anatomy of the person in question, and that they know how to stimulate the right spots.

There are certain sex positions that can increase your chances of squirting. These positions focus mainly on the G-Spot, or dual stimulation (clitoral and G-Spot), as these are the areas most likely to induce squirting.

Our top sex positions to squirt include:

JOUJOU Blog Doggy Style Sex Position

Doggy Style: By far the best position to squirt during sex is doggy style. This is because it’s the perfect position for the penis or dildo to reach the G-Spot and it allows clitoral stimulation at the same time. Doggy style is a favourite for many, which is a bonus, and is essentially the vulva owner getting on all fours and being penetrated vaginally.

JOUJOU Blog Tucked Missionary Sex Position

Missionary Sex: With missionary style sex, the penis or dildo can hit the G-Spot harder because it’s in a great position to do so. And although it’s harder to stimulate the clitoris in this position, the receiver of penetration could simply stimulate themselves or throw a clitoral stimulation sex toy into the mix if they fancy.

Additionally, having a partner finger their lover in the come hither” motion is also an excellent way to stimulate the G-Spot, which may lead to squirting. Add in a bit of clitoral stimulation at the same time to really rev things up.

Also, it’s important for the one doing the penetrating to “pull out” right before squirting occurs.

How to squirt during masturbation/solo play?

If it’s a solo journey you’re on to squirt, there are certain masturbation techniques that’ll help you squirt. And just like squirting during sex, it’s important to know more about your anatomy and your G-Spot, because stimulating this erogenous zone is one of the biggest factors that can aid in squirting.

Our top masturbation techniques to squirt include:

Manual Stimulation: You could finger yourself by getting into a comfortable position and inserting your finger or fingers into your vagina, reaching for that slightly raised and bumpy area about five to eight centimetres inside (the G-Spot). Once you feel this area, you can do the come hither” motion with your finger(s). Add in a bit of clitoral stimulation for added sexual pleasure. The trick with manual stimulation is that it may be hard to reach your sweet spot, so we suggest the age-old expression: practice makes perfect. Or, you could consider a sex toy which is by far easier than a DIY.

Using a G-Spot or Dual Stimulation Sex Toy: Believe it or not, there are hundreds and thousands of sex toys available to stimulate your G-Spot with exact precision! And this is exactly what you could consider if you’d like to make yourself squirt during masturbation. Or, why not go for a dual stimulation sex toy, one that stimulates both the G-spot and and the clitoris, to heighten your arousal?

Having said that, we couldn’t merely suggest using a sex toy without actually giving you recommendations for the best sex toy for squirting!
